Strengthening Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response in Nigeria

This webinar shared experience and lessons learned in implementing the MPD-4-QED program in Nigeria. MPD-4-QED is a harmonized database that collects maternal and perinatal information during pregnancy, labour, childbirth and the postpartum period including on quality of care from 54 referral level hospitals in Nigeria. Representatives from Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria and MPD-4-QED program shared their experience, lessons learned and plans in institutionalizing the program at national level.

This webinar was hosted by the Network for Improving the Quality of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, the Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research, and the Department of Maternal Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health, and Ageing, WHO Geneva.
