The Midwifery Accelerator: Optimizing the health workforce for maternal and newborn survival

This ministerial breakfast will bring together governments, donors and partners to mobilise financing and accelerate investment in Midwifery Models of Care. With a global shortage of nearly one million midwives, the event will focus on scaling the workforce and aligning domestic and global investment behind country priorities.

Hosts: The Government of Côte d’Ivoire, Malawi Nepal, Uganda, Sweden and Zambia and Midwifery Accelerator partners (including UNFPA, UNICEF, ICM and Jhpiego).
