Overview
The Every Woman Every Newborn Everywhere initiative (EWENE) works to accelerate progress for maternal and newborn health and the reduction of stillbirths.
As countries around the world mark World Health Day on 7 April 2025, this high-level advocacy event spotlighted progress and challenges in maternal and newborn health, explored new data and its implications, and highlighted opportunities to improve survival.
Some of EWENE keys actors – global health leaders, policy makers, advocates and frontline health-care providers – explored how we can ensure every woman and every newborn has the opportunity for a healthy beginning and a hopeful future.
