Most stillbirths are preventable when women have access to timely, high-quality care during pregnancy and childbirth. And when a stillbirth does occur, there are many measures health care practitioners can take to support affected women and their families through compassionate care and accurate documentation of the event. This report by the United Nations Inter-agency Group for Child Mortality Estimation provides the latest data and trends on stillborth worldwide.
